The Micah Parsons saga in Dallas is officially over, as the Cowboys have traded the former Penn State standout to the Green Bay Packers, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
In exchange, Dallas receives DT Kenny Clark and two first-round picks.
In addition to the trade, Parsons and the Packers have agreed to a four-year, $188 million deal, an average annual salary of $47 million, which makes him the highest-paid non-QB in NFL history.

What did the Cowboys get for Micah Parsons?
The Cowboys have traded Parsons to the Packers for Kenny Clark, a 2026 first-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick, the team announced.
Clark had spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Packers, making three Pro Bowls and accumulating 35.0 sacks and 236 solo tackles.
Parsons was selected with the 12th overall pick by the Cowboys in the 2021 NFL Draft. Since his arrival in the NFL, Parsons has been nothing short of spectacular, being just one of three players to record at least 12 sacks in four of the last five seasons.
For his career, Parsons has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of his four NFL seasons, been named All-Pro three times, won Defensive Rookie of the Year, and has accumulated 52.5 sacks.
Parsons had previously requested a trade from the Cowboys shortly before the preseason began, a saga which came to a full head recently when Parsons was seen sleeping on the sideline during a Cowboys preseason game. Now, Dallas has traded one of the best players in the NFL away.
The former Penn State star will now look to continue his Hall of Fame trajectory in Green Bay in what is surely one of the more shocking trades in recent NFL history.
