Oregon Ducks commit shows incredible speed on 77-yard TD in state playoff game image

Messiah Hampton is the real deal.

The Oregon Ducks' wide receiver commit from Monroe (NY) High School proved that in a New York state semifinal on Saturday.

Hampton caught a touchdown. And he ran for a touchdown. And he even completed a pass, although not for a touchdown.

His rushing TD was the best highlight. He took a jet sweep, beat everyone to the sideline and ran away from Owego Free Academy.

It was a 77-yard score:

Hampton is a record-setting player at Monroe, which is a historic team. A school from the Rochester City School District has never even played in a state final. Hampton's Red Jackets will do just that next weekend in Syracuse.

After that, he'll make the cross-country trip to join the Ducks.

If he can make plays like this one in college, too, Oregon will be very happy to have Messiah.
