The Oregon Ducks and Penn State Nittany Lions produced an absolute thriller on Saturday night in Happy Valley, with the Ducks' defense finishing the job in overtime.
Both teams defenses flexed their muscles early in the game with just six combined points at halftime.
Then it looked liked Oregon would run away with the game before Penn State stormed back late to tie the game and send it to overtime. The Ducks' defense sealed the deal in the second overtime period, and after the game coach Dan Lanning had a message for college football fans.
Dan Lanning Makes Bold Penn State Prediction
Saturday night's battle at Beaver Stadium was just the second-ever AP Top 10 White Out game. It was the biggest test of the season for both the Ducks and Nittany Lions.
However, both teams still have multiple ranked Big Ten opponents on their schedules ahead, and Lanning doesn't think this will be the last time Oregon sees Penn State.
"It would have been devastating to be on the other end of that," Lanning said. "We'll probably see that team again."
The Ducks and Nittany Lions both looked like Top 10 teams by the end of the night despite the slow starts. After the win for Oregon, and loss for Penn State, both teams still control their own destinies.

The Ducks face Indiana in two weeks after a bye, and the Nittany Lions will face Ohio State and Indiana in the first two weeks of November.
Oregon can ride high with its defense putting up a stellar performance and sophomore quarterback Dante Moore making some incredible throws in clutch moments.
On the other side, it's a gut-punch for Penn State. The Nittany Lions offense finally woke up in the fourth quarter, but it needs to find a way to get into a rhythm sooner it if wants to beat Ohio State in November. As for the defense, it was lights out, and you can't expect it not to begin to where down with how often it was on the field on Saturday night.
The Ducks are sitting pretty after Saturday night's big win, but the Nittany Lions need to win one of their games against Ohio State and Indiana, if not both, if it wants to return to the College Football Playoffs.
