Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy is returning for the 2026 season, signing a new deal with the Rebels, according to On3.
A Doak Walker Award finalist, Lacy is coming off a dominant year in which he ranks third nationally with 1,464 rushing yards and leads the SEC with 23 touchdowns. He scored in all but one game this season and has been one of the most consistent offensive players in college football.
Lacy played a key role in Ole Miss’ College Football Playoff run, including a two-touchdown performance against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl quarterfinals. He also rushed for 87 yards and a score in the CFP first-round win over Tulane before exiting with a shoulder injury.
With Lacy and quarterback Trinidad Chambliss both set to return, Ole Miss locks in its top two offensive stars for 2026, giving first-year head coach Pete Golding a major foundation moving forward.
Lacy will now lead the Rebels into the Fiesta Bowl semifinal against Miami on Jan. 8, with a spot in the national championship game on the line.
