On Monday, Ole Miss Chancellor Glenn Boyce spoke about the ongoing rumors concerning Lane Kiffin’s future, commending the Rebels’ staff but opting not to directly address the head coach's upcoming choice.

“We have an elite assistant coaching staff,” Boyce told Super Talk Mississippi's Richard Cross. He emphasized the group’s role in sustaining the program’s on-field success.

Boyce later credited the assistants for forging strong relationships with players, calling their work “foundational” to the Rebels’ 10-1 season.

Kiffin's statements arrived as he's a major focus of national news, with word spreading that LSU is crafting a remarkable offer to draw him to Baton Rouge.

The Tigers have reportedly explored a seven-year contract valued at a minimum of $90 million, along with over $25 million each year in NIL and recruiting-related roster-investment funds, according to Yahoo Sports. This arrangement would position Kiffin as one of college football's top-earning coaches.

Ole Miss and Kiffin reached an agreement to postpone any public statements regarding his future until after the Nov. 29 Egg Bowl, creating a period of anxious anticipation for the program and its chances in the postseason.
