Ole Miss added another glistening result to its 2025 collection on Friday, picking up a decisive 38-19 win over hate rival Mississippi State away from home.

The matchup brought about a series of enchanting storylines. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss balled out, producing nearly 400 yards of total offense less than 12 hours after reportedly having his jersey swiped by rowdy Bulldogs fans.

He wasn't the only Rebel to garner headlines. Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin has proven one of college football's most captivating figures over the years. He did little to hurt his reputation on Friday, firing barbs at the whole of Mississippi State's athletic department after a second-quarter fracas turned into a full-blown brawl. He also confronted an Ole Miss reporter after he dared to invoke a famous — and NSFW — Ludacris line to describe the Kiffin Effect.

Ultimately, though, all eyes — and ears — were on Kiffin's postgame presser. With rumors of his departure abound — LSU and Florida already sent big-money offers to his representatives — many in the college football world are wondering whether Kiffin will head elsewhere in 2026.

Kiffin told reporters he hasn't yet made a decision. He indicated an announcement regarding his future was on the horizon — likely to come Saturday.

Kiffin didn't offer much on the specifics of his decision-making process. The Gators are out, though — ESPN's Pete Thamel reported that Florida is turning to new targets.

AllSportsPeople racked live updates and highlights from Lane Kiffin's postgame press conference following the Egg Bowl on Friday. Below is a look at everything Kiffin said once the whistle blew at Davis Wade Stadium on Friday afternoon.

"I've got a lot of praying to do to figure that out tomorrow," Kiffin said.

2:10 p.m.:  Florida is out of consideration for Kiffin’s services, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel. He’ll decide between staying at Ole Miss and joining LSU, per reports.

2:00 p.m.:  Kiffin spoke earlier with SEC Network reporter Marty Smith on his future. He didn’t offer much insight into his thought process, instead claiming that his team is focused on its task of downing Mississippi State on Friday afternoon. So far, so good:

Is Lane Kiffin leaving Ole Miss?

This section will be updated.

Kiffin's future at Ole Miss remains up in the air. While the Rebels have repeatedly done a lot to keep him in town, connections between Kiffin and schools like LSU and Florida have kicked into high gear recently.

Kiffin has declined to speak about his coaching future until Ole Miss' regular season is over.

Yahoo reported that LSU officials "have discussed a seven-year, incentive-laden deal worth at least $90 million" for Kiffin. That would put Kiffin among the highest-paid coaches in the country, but On3 reported that Florida and Ole Miss have matched the offer and are both bidding to land/keep the head coach.

Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter released a statement on Nov. 21 that said he had "pointed and positive" discussions with Kiffin about his future at Ole Miss. However, Carter also wrote that there would be no resolves to the situation until after Week 14 concluded.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that the Gators are shifting their focus to other options, with Kiffin believed to be choosing between staying with the Rebels and joining the Tigers’ coaching staff.

For now, it's unknown whether Kiffin will leave Ole Miss right before a potential playoff appearance. But an answer to the rumors is expected soon.
