The Ohio State Buckeyes have rostered some of the best wide receivers in the country in recent years, including this season.

One of their depth WRs has decided he'd like to try and find his chance to breakthrough somewhere new.

Bryson Rodgers, who has played in 20 games at Ohio State, plans to enter the transfer portal, according to On3's Hayes Fawcett.

Rodgers was originally a four-star recruit from Florida.

There will be immediate speculation on him transferring to South Florida to play for departed Ohio State recruiting and WR guru Brian Hartline, who is the new head coach at USF.

Rodgers spent three seasons on campus in Columbus.

His first campaign, he appeared in just a single game.

In 2024's national title season, Rodgers played in 12 games. He caught five passes for 46 yards.

This year, Rodgers has appeared in seven games. He has six catches for 79 yards. That includes a touchdown grab against UCLA.

Rodgers couldn't break through in a depth chart topped by the likes of Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate.

But the wide receivers that end up at Ohio State are rarely flukes. Rodgers likely can go somewhere else and shine.

It'll be a key decision to make sure he gets right to maximize the rest of his college career.
