The 2025 college football regular season has come to a close. This means the typical "College GameDay" episode is over, and now the show will focus on conference championship games, playoff seeding, and bowl games.

This week, "College GameDay" made the decision to broadcast live ahead of the 2025 SEC Championship game between Georgia and Alabama.

Four SEC teams ended the season tied atop the conference. Through a series of tiebreakers, Georgia and Alabama emerged as the two teams to face off in the conference championship game. The Bulldogs finished the season with an 11-1 record, with their lone loss coming against Alabama. The Crimson Tide finished 10-2 with losses to Florida State in Week 1 and then against Oklahoma in mid-November.

Here is more on the "College GameDay" location for conference championship weekend.

Where is 'College GameDay' location for Week 15?

  • Location: Atlanta, Georgia
  • Time: 9 a.m. ET
  • Matchup: Georgia vs. Alabama

ESPN will head to Atlanta for "College GameDay" in Week 15. The marquee matchup is No. 4 Georgia taking on No. 10 Alabama in the 2025 SEC Championship Game.

The decision came under some scrutiny from fans. The Big Ten Championship Game is the best game of the weekend as undefeated Ohio State takes on undefeated Indiana. Both teams are 12-0 and ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the country, respectively. Many think that ESPN chose to go to Atlanta instead because the Big Ten was just featured as the "College GameDay" location during rivalry week, as Ohio State played Michigan in this year's version of "The Game."

This will be Georgia's third appearance on "College GameDay" this season, and Alabama's second.
