For the first time in program history, the Michigan Wolverines landed the nation’s No. 1 recruit, signing Bryce Underwood in December 2024. Thrust into action as a true freshman, Underwood found himself in the spotlight early — and in just the second start of his career, he clashed with a teammate.
The Wolverines face a tough test this week on the road against No. 18 Oklahoma in Norman. In the first half, Underwood and the Michigan offense were held scoreless, and the Detroit native was spotted in a heated exchange with running back Justice Haynes on the sideline.
Here’s what went down with Underwood at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
What happened between Bryce Underwood and Justice Haynes?
With Michigan struggling on offense, Underwood and Haynes were seen yelling at each other on the sidelines, and had to be pulled away by other teammates.
