It wasn’t the New Year's wish that any Longhorn fans had on their list. Texas wide receiver Parker Livingstone entered the transfer portal just a day after winning the Cheez-It Bowl for Texas.
While the shock has subsided, Livingstone took to social media to address the portal decision, citing that many behind-the-scenes factors contributed to his decision to enter the portal and that he himself was shocked by it, as he never would’ve envisioned leaving Texas. Now, Livingstone is heading to one of Texas's most prominent rivals, Oklahoma, in his first swing of visits, according to Parker Thune of On3.

The redshirt freshman wide receiver Parker Livingstone is a 6-foot-4, 191-pound target who has emerged as one of Texas’s top young playmakers after a breakout start to the 2025 season. Appearing in 15 career games with seven starts, and earning SEC Freshman of the Week and Shaun Alexander National Freshman of the Week honors after a September surge.
The Texas HSFB football standout caught his first career touchdown in the season-opening win at Ohio State. It later erupted for 128 yards and two scores against San Jose State, highlighted by an 83-yard touchdown from quarterback Arch Manning that ranks among the longest freshman receptions in program history.
A former Lovejoy High School standout and multi-sport athlete, Livingstone finished his prep career with 2,207 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns and was rated a national top-300 recruit by multiple services.
