After spending 42 long days on the road, Texas (6-2) finally returns to Austin for a massive Week 10 clash against Vanderbilt (7-1).
The Longhorns are still clinging to SEC title and playoff hopes, but they’ll need to clean up their act after back-to-back overtime escapes against bottom-tier opponents. The big question is around Arch Manning's availability. The star QB remains in concussion protocol after last week’s hit at Mississippi State, though Steve Sarkisian says he practiced this week.
Vanderbilt, meanwhile, has turned heads under quarterback Diego Pavia, who’s quietly climbed into the Heisman conversation with 1,698 passing yards and 15 touchdowns. The Commodores just beat Missouri and boast one of the most balanced offenses in the country. Texas will try to disrupt Pavia’s rhythm and get its own offense rolling. But if the Longhorns can’t find consistency it will be tough.
