Will Texas make the College Football Playoff? Reactions after Georgia loss from ESPN image

The Longhorns fell 35-10 to Georgia, undone by turnovers, missed opportunities, and a Bulldogs defense that rarely budged. Quarterback Arch Manning showed flashes of promise, but Texas was outcoached, outplayed, and ultimately overwhelmed in front of a raucous crowd at Sanford Stadium.

Despite the setback, head coach Steve Sarkisian isn’t allowing his team to dwell on the loss with two games remaining in the regular season.

“We’ve got a two-week season in front of us,” Sarkisian said. “We’ve got to go play. We’ve got two games. It’s two games. Let’s go play. Let’s put our best foot forward and see what happens.”

The Longhorns' hopes of a SEC Championship game are indeed gone; however, there is a slim argument now for the Longhorns in the College Football Playoff, but the argument is still there, with reactions pouring in. Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler shared this nugget at the end of the broadcast on why Texas could still have some hope.

Selection Sunday is scheduled for March 15th.
