Fran Brown wasn't happy with his team's win on Saturday.
Syracuse came close to falling to 0-2 on the season in a 27-20 overtime victory over UConn. It was enough for Brown to force the Orange to stay on the field in full pads for sprints. The Orange trailed for most of its home opener against the Huskies. However, a pair of late scores put them ahead with less than a minute to play.
This forced UConn to convert on a wild fourth-down play, along with a late field goal to force overtime. Syracuse scored the only touchdown in the extra frame for the win. But Brown was clearly not settling for good enough. He wanted to send a message to his players in front of the friends and family left at the JMA Wireless Dome.

Obviously, running sprints after an overtime game isn't a must-do on anyone's list. This came off the Week 1 loss to Tennessee and puts the Cuse players on notice that they need to step up the effort soon.
Brown and the Orange will round out their non-conference schedule at home against Colgate on Saturday night (7 p.m. ET/TV: ACC Network).
