Yes, there's a quarterback named Brady Quinn who's about to be a high school sophomore.

And yes, he's a Division I quarterback prospect, too.

Syracuse is making a push for him.

A social media announcement has Quinn scheduled to take an official visit to Syracuse on Sept. 27.

On 247Sports, Quinn is ranked as a 3-star QB and the No. 15 player in the class of 2028 at his position.

Quinn is in fact named after the former Notre Dame legend by the same name.

This Quinn's father was a Notre Dame fan with the last name Quinn, and so his son wound up named after the greatest quarterback in Fighting Irish history.

"He never expected me to be a quarterback or to be this good," the younger Quinn told The Athletic. "So it's kind of a shocking coincidence that this is all happening right now."

The elder Quinn has offered his advice, according to The Athletic.

As a freshman at First Baptist Academy in Florida, this Quinn threw for 2,549 passing yards with 33 touchdowns.

Lots can happen between now and the fall of 2028, when Quinn will end up on a college campus.

But it'd certainly be a cool recruiting win for Syracuse if they ended up with a QB whose named evokes a college football great, and who is a really good player himself.
