The Pitt Panthers are having a big season. Heading into Week 12, Pitt is 7-2 with a chance to make the ACC Championship Game. Ranked 22nd in the College Football Playoff, the Panthers also have a shot at the CFP.
On Saturday, Pitt can take a big step in the rankings if it can pull off an upset over No. 10 Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish are considered a playoff team, so the Panthers would get a résumé-building win with a victory.
The credit for Pitt's big season goes to head coach Pat Narduzzi, who is in his 11th season with the Panthers. If Pitt reaches 11 wins this season, it’ll match the Panthers' 11-3 season in 2021.
Let's take a look at Narduzzi's contract with Pitt, as well as how it compares to some other coaches inside the ACC.

Pat Narduzzi contract details
Narduzzi has been at Pitt since 2015. In March of 2022, just months after that aforementioned 11-win season, the school signed its head coach to a new contract that would keep him in the Steel City through the 2030 season.
Although the exact financials of his new deal were not released by the school, his annual salary is listed as $7,259,909 on USA Today's coaching salary database. ESPN reported in 2022 that his previous salary was $4.8 million.

Narduzzi's buyout is not listed in the USA Today database, but based on his annual salary, it’s estimated to be around $36 million.
