Packers' Micah Parsons calls out Jerry Jones for Cowboys trade after tie image

When the Dallas Cowboys traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in August, the matchup between the two teams on Sunday Night Football in Week 4 was circled as one of the most anticipated of the 2025 NFL season.

The grudge match did not disappoint, as the game ended with the second-highest scoring tie in NFL history with a 40-40 finish.

The fireworks continued after the game, though, with Parsons taking a shot at Cowboys owner Jerry Jones in his post-game press conference.

Micah Parsons Calls Out Jerry Jones for Not Calling Him About Packers Trade

When speaking to the media, the former Nittany Lion reiterated that he hadn't spoken to Jones since the deal went down and, without mentioning him by name, lambasted him for not calling him about the trade.

"You know, honestly, I think all in all, the emotions for me being in Dallas went away the moment they traded me," Parsons said via ESPN's Rob Demovsky and Todd Archer.

"He couldn't tell me as a man [about the trade], so, to me, that emotion side was gone. It was more about a respect factor at this point."

Despite being on the field during pregame warmups, Jones and Parsons did not interact before the showdown.

"It's just not appropriate," Jones later explained. "What are we supposed to do when we're getting ready to play each other, all that's at stake for him and all that's at stake for our team, the Cowboys? That's not appropriate to be visiting as you are getting ready to play."

For football fans' sake, let's hope this isn't the last time the Packers and Cowboys face each other this season.
