Oregon State lineman has unfortunate NSWF hot mic moment against Fresno State image

College football has always thrived on chaos. On Saturday night, Oregon State delivered a moment that felt ripped straight from the "Pac-12 After Dark" playbook. Even though the conference itself is now scattered across the country.

Midway through the Beavers’ matchup with Fresno State, OSU offensive lineman Ryan Berger got flagged for holding. Nothing unusual about that until the hot ref mic picked up an unfiltered reaction. As the referee announced the penalty, Berger’s frustration spilled out in stadium-wide “F---!” that echoed through The CW’s broadcast. The timing was impeccable to say the least.

It was the kind of moment that reminds fans why "Pac-12 After Dark" lives on in spirit, even if its name is gone. The late-window games never fail to produce unpredictability.

The game itself fit the script as well. Oregon State rolled up 528 yards of offense behind quarterback Maalik Murphy’s four touchdown passes and Anthony Hankerson’s 136 rushing yards. Yet the Beavers went 0-for-4 on two-point conversions, including a miss after Murphy’s late strike to David Wells Jr. gave them a brief lead. Fresno State countered with Dylan Lynch’s three fourth-quarter field goals, capped by a 43-yarder with 29 seconds left. Jakari Embry’s pick-six iced it, and the Bulldogs walked out with a 36–27 win.

In the end, Oregon State dropped to 0-2, Fresno State improved to 2-1 to start the season.
