All year long, Ohio State and Indiana have been the best two teams in the country, and on Saturday night, they will finally meet on the football field.
During this year's championship week, the Big Ten Championship will be the main attraction, with No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 Indiana prepared to face off. Both teams enter the game with 12-0 records, representing the only two remaining undefeated teams in FBS football.
Ohio State is coming off a big win over Michigan, its first victory against the Wolverines since 2019. The Buckeyes are the defending national champions and haven't lost a game in over a year, since November of 2024, and look to keep it that way on Saturday.
Quarterback Julian Sayin has had a strong first season as the starter, producing 30 passing touchdowns on the year with 3,065 passing yards and an outstanding completion percentage of 78.5 percent. Ohio State is also full of explosive skill position players, as wide receivers Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate and running back Bo Jackson are dangerous.
However, Indiana has championship aspirations as well following the best season in program history. Curt Cignetti has taken Indiana Football to new heights, allowing the school to play in the Big Ten Championship for the first time ever.
Leading the way is quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who is one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy. The Cal transfer has produced a conference-leading 32 passing touchdowns along with 2,758 passing yards, and is expected to be one of the top players selected in the NFL draft.
While both teams will likely earn a bye in the College Football Playoff, the winner of this game will secure the No. 1 seed and the honor of being the lone undefeated team in the country.
