Ohio State flips Tennessee recruit with a legendary name in 2026 class image

We've heard many legendary names called in college football's rich history. But there one in the 2026 recruiting class that could be in the GOAT conversation and made headlines on Monday.

North Forney (Texas) standout Legend Bey flipped his commitment from Tennessee to Ohio State, giving the Buckeyes another elite offensive weapon next year.

“OSU just made so much sense for me,” Bey told Rivals. “I want the best development, the best coaching and the best atmosphere!”

There's a few takeaways and Ohio State better understand they received one of the best marketing campaigns without even trying. Legend has endless possibilities in the NIL era, but 'I am Legend' as a Heisman Trophy slogan?

At 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, the four-star is ranked by Rivals as the No. 8 athlete in Texas and No. 275 overall in the nation. Bey is compared to Deebo Samuel and can put in work as a receiver, running back or return specialist. He brings versatility and explosiveness to Columbus.

Bey had been committed to Tennessee since June but took a surprise official visit to Ohio State two weeks ago. He has thrown for more than 1,000 yards and rushed for over 1,000 with 32 total touchdowns this season, adding to Ohio State’s top-five recruiting class next year.
