Dylan Raiola has so much in common with Patrick Mahomes, much of it intentional.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback idolizes the Kansas City Chiefs superstar, and it's hard to miss it when you look at Raiola.
He's got the haircut, and the number, and the crazy arm angles on his throws.
The only thing missing: Raiola isn't related to Mahomes, even if it could certainly appear that way.
Railoa embraces the look, but he also has joked about it, too.
"Everybody be like, 'Oh, he wants to be like him,' and all this stuff," Raiola told CBS Sports before the season. "It just so happens he played baseball, I played baseball. He plays quarterback, I play quarterback... I can't get mad at God for making me look like him."
Raiola and Mahomes have a legitimate relationship, too, which is very cool.
"It's real love," Raiola has said to describe their connection.
Raiola opened the season with a win at Arrowhead Stadium as the Cornhuskers barely held off Cincinnati.
The Nebraska QB has also compared it to the way Kobe Bryant idolized Michael Jordan.
Interestingly, Raiola is also the godson of Matthew Stafford. He's got quite the quarterback influences.
Nebraska hopes that allows Raiola's development to continue enough to lead the Cornhuskers back in a glory-days direction.
