Nebraska's Dylan Raiola replacement, Kenny Minchey, flips his transfer commitment to SEC image

This is a crucial offseason for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. After QB Dylan Raiola entered the transfer portal, they have to get his replacement right.

And it appeared they had their guy: Kenny Minchey, who left Notre Dame after losing the quarterback job there to C.J. Carr.

Minchey reportedly committed to the Cornhuskers on Sunday.

On Monday, it appeared that wasn't set in stone.

On3's experts predicted that Minchey was going to flip his transfer commitment to the University of Kentucky.

That would be a nightmare outcome for Nebraska.

And it appears to have happened, as insider Max Olson reported late Monday night:

Not only would they have lost out on a quarterback pursuit. They'll also be behind the eight-ball, because many of the top transfer QBs are committed by now.

The transfer portal moves quickly, and each school has to essentially latch onto a guy they want and get the deal done.

Schools have done that, and Nebraska did it with Minchey. If he leaves now, there will be work to do in a hurry to remedy the loss. The Cornhuskers couldn't quite get to a high-octane level with Raiola. But now without him, things are going even worse.
