Navy unveiled its Army-Navy game uniforms, introducing a detailed tribute to the USS Constitution that will take the field on Dec. 13 in Baltimore. The design honors “Old Ironsides,” one of the Navy’s original six frigates and the world’s oldest commissioned warship still afloat, according to a report by ESPN.

The helmet is the centerpiece, featuring an illustrated depiction of the USS Constitution on one side and the U.S. Navy monogram on the other. Its copper color nods to the metal that famously sheathed the ship’s hull.

A wooden-plank-style center stripe includes rope wrapping that forms 63 knots on both sides, symbolizing Navy’s 63 wins over Army and commemorating the 126th meeting in the rivalry.

The jersey incorporates two shades of blue. A “washed” tone drawn from early Navy uniforms and a deeper “nautical” shade representing the ship’s hull. The typography is modeled after the 1794 “Act to Provide Naval Armament,” which authorized the Navy’s first six frigates.

Additional rope detailing 250 knots in total celebrates the service’s 250th anniversary, reflected on nameplates reading “Navy 250th.” A lot of deep meanings of America's Game.
