Alabama’s ground game took a potentially game-altering hit late in the fourth quarter of their intensely fought matchup against No. 14 Missouri, as starting running back Jam Miller was helped off the field with an apparent injury.
Miller, who had been a relentless force for the Crimson Tide with 20 carries for 85 yards on the afternoon, was injured with Alabama leading 20-17. The senior running back appeared to take a hard hit to the shoulder and helmet area after catching a pass for a first down, forcing him to be taken immediately to the locker room for evaluation, leaving the Tide's backfield shorthanded in the critical final minutes of a tight SEC battle.
Alabama went on to win 27-24, but Miller did not return to the game.
Here are the latest updates on Miller's status.
