Oregon star quarterback Dante Moore was knocked out of the game against Wisconsin on Saturday night after taking a hard hit to the face, leaving the No. 6 Oregon Ducks without their Heisman contender.

Moore appeared to be bleeding heavily from his nose after the contact, forcing backup Brock Thomas into the game. As the Ducks look ahead to their crucial next stretch of the season, fans are anxiously awaiting an official update on the severity of the injury and a timeline for Moore’s return.

Here are the latest updates on Moore's status from Saturday night.

What happened to Dante Moore?

Moore left the game against Wisconsin on Saturday night after sustaining a hit to the face. The contact, which appeared to go through his facemask and strike his nose, caused him to bleed heavily.

Backup quarterback Brock Thomas immediately entered the game following the injury. At the time he left, Moore was 9-of-15 passing for 86 yards and had been sacked twice in the contest.

Moore is out of the medical tent — where he stayed for a while — and is now standing on the sideline with his helmet on. Moore has a coat over his helmet and is watching the action as Thomas stays in the game.

There is no further information on his condition or a timeline for his return at this time.
