College football rankings: Updated NCAA Top 25 polls after Michigan, Florida, other Week 2 losses image

Though Week 2 of the college football season didn’t feature as many ranked matchups, there were still plenty of notable games and surprising upsets.

While the top-10 teams largely took care of business, the biggest shock came in Gainesville, where No. 13 Florida fell to South Florida, 18-16, on a last-second field goal. The Bulls, who already had a ranked win over No. 25 Boise State, grabbed another.

Then, there was No. 18 Oklahoma's statement victory over No. 15 Michigan.

There were also plenty of blowouts. No. 1 Ohio State routed Grambling State 70-0 in the Shoe. After beating No. 8 Alabama 31-17 in Week 1, Florida State climbed to No. 14 in the AP Poll, then followed up with a 77-3 demolition of Texas A&M-Commerce. In Eugene, Dante Moore and the No. 6 Oregon Ducks rolled over Oklahoma State 66-3. Other ranked blowouts included:

  • No. 22 Tennessee beating East Tennessee State 72-14,
  • No. 23 Indiana routing Kennesaw State, 56-9
  • No. 11 Illinois stomping Duke in Durham, 45-19
  • No. 24 Texas Tech thumping Kent State, 62-14
