In the SEC, No. 9 Georgia beat Ole Miss in Athens, No. 6 Alabama beat No. 11 Tennessee in Tuscaloosa, and No. 17 Vanderbilt beat No. 10 LSU in Nashville, securing bowl eligibility for the second consecutive year. Other teams showed their dominance, like No. 12 Georgia Tech staying undefeated after beating Duke and No. 9 Oregon bouncing back by destroying Rutgers.
