The 2025 college football regular season has come and passed. The week was dominated by buzz surrounding Lane Kiffin's future, but there was plenty of action on the field as well.
After 14 weeks of upsets, highlights and shake-ups in the hierarchy in the College Football Playoff race, conference championship matchups are set. While Week 14 didn't bring any all-out chaos — Alabama, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Ohio State were among the teams to continue rolling toward the playoff with rivalry matchup wins — there were some intriguing results that could have immediate repercussions.

No loss was more impactful than Texas A&M's, as the Aggies lost their first game of the season to Arch Manning and the Texas Longhorns. Meanwhile, Vanderbilt got a huge 45-24 victory over Tennessee.
Miami took down a ranked Pitt squad to improve to 10-2 and put added pressure on the College Football Playoff committee to consider its résumé. In an especially wild late-night twist, Cal knocked off SMU, sending 7-5 Duke to the ACC Championship game. Notre Dame then blew out Stanford in a nightcap that included a brief injury scare for the Irish's star running back, Jeremiyah Love.
