There wasn't much shuffling in the latest College Football Playoff projections. But there are a few noticeable differences going into Week 9, according to The Athletic

The SEC frontrunner is Texas A&M over Alabama, but they're No. 3 and 4 seeds, respectfully. The top two seeds are all Big Ten with No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 Indiana. No. 5 Oregon stays put and will likely be out of conference title contention.

This shows both conferences are dominant before the first official rankings are due out. The Big 12 has Texas Tech at tenth in the 12-team bracket and still in after the loss to Arizona State. The same case for No. 8 Ole Miss after the loss to No. 6 Georgia.

No. 7 Miami’s shocking loss to Louisville on Friday doesn’t keep the Hurricanes out of the CFP bracket, but the 52% probability means they'll have to win out. Georgia Tech would be in at No. 11, if the Playoff started today. However, Virginia would be one of the first teams out.

BYU remains unbeaten with a Holy War win against Utah, but there's still the belief they'll be on the outside looking in come December. The Cougars fan Texas Tech on Nov. 8 in Lubbock with the winner taking the upper hand in the Big 12 race.

LSU and Tennessee are now out of CFP consideration. Along with Oklahoma and Missouri, who will have to stay perfect and catch a few breaks.

Finally, the two non-Power Four teams projected to sneak in at No. 9 Notre Dame and No. 12 South Florida. The Irish's 10-point win over USC put them firmly in the conversation, but No. 9 is pretty generous considering they won't play a conference title game.
