BYU wide receiver Jojo Phillips is expected to start against No. 8 Texas Tech, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Phillips has been out since Week 2 against Stanford and returns at the right time with the seventh-ranked Cougars facing a critical top-10 Big 12 battle. He reportedly had surgery for an upper body injury at the time.
Kalani Sitake's team is one of the last remaining unbeaten teams in the nation. Phillips will help provide depth alongside Chase Roberts and Parker Kingston.
"(Jojo) is practicing and looking really good out here," BYU offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick told reporters three weeks ago.
Phillips had three catches for 30 yards against Stanford and racked up 10 receptions for 211 yards and two touchdowns last year.
BYU heads to Lubbock for a meeting with Texas Tech (Noon ET, ABC).
