Quarterback Beau Pribula has been as good as Missouri fans could have hoped for through his first two weeks of the season. The former Penn State signal-caller has quickly found his rhythm in Columbia, and dealt quite an impressive game against Kansas on Saturday.

In Missouri’s first meeting with Kansas since 2012, Pribula elevated his status to star with an impressive performance. He threw for 334 yards and three touchdowns, powering the Tigers to a 42-31 victory in the renewal of the Border War. It was a statement win for Missouri and a showcase of the quarterback who has already become the centerpiece of their offense.

Pribula arrived at Missouri after three seasons at Penn State, where he spent most of his time behind starter Drew Allar. Opportunities were limited, but whenever he took the field, he flashed his dual-threat ability, decision-making, and ability to extend plays outside the pocket. Those glimpses of potential have now become a reality, as he has taken full command of Missouri’s offense in 2025.

The Border War matchup did not begin in Missouri’s favor. Kansas jumped out to a 21-6 lead after a sluggish first quarter from the Tigers. But from that point on, Pribula took control. He threw nearly 40 passes on the night, completing 30 of them, and guided Missouri back with poise and sharp execution. Every drive seemed to flow through him, and he delivered the type of performance that excites a fan base.

For a program seeking stability and leadership at the quarterback position, Pribula has given them both in short order. His ability to stay composed under pressure and make smart throws has transformed Missouri’s attack into a balanced and confident group.

With conference play quickly approaching, Missouri has plenty of reasons to feel optimistic. The early returns on Beau Pribula have been everything they could have asked for, and his presence under center could be the spark that propels the Tigers to bigger things this fall.
