The 2025 SEC Championship features a pair of familiar foes.
Alabama and Georgia have met more times than most in recent seasons, particularly in the conference title game. The two SEC powerhouses have battled each other four times for the SEC crown. The Crimson Tide are unbeaten in their prior contests, albeit three of those duels were decided by a single score.
Can the Bulldogs turn things around in 2025? They enter their latest bout with Alabama in fine form, claiming eight straight wins to surge up the College Football Playoff ladder. The only thing separating them from an undefeated season? Those pesky Crimson Tide, who vanquished them in Week 4, 24-21.
Alabama was similarly effective in conference play, downing seven of their eight opponents in SEC play. With Heisman hopeful Ty Simpson leading the way, Kalen DeBoer's side remains a threat — although it is liable for lapses in effectiveness every now and then.
