Abdul Carter calls for fellow Penn State star rusher Micah Parsons to get paid image

The Penn State Nittany Lions, over the past few years, have sent two superstar edge rushers, who wore No. 11 at Penn State, to the NFL. Both Micah Parsons and Abdul Carter were first-round picks, with the former coming in 2025.

Parsons was a few years prior, and now he's looking for a massive contract extension from the Dallas Cowboys, which Jerry Jones hasn't been willing to offer yet.

Amid the ongoing dispute, Carter shared a post on Twitter/X, joining a lot of fans and players in calling for Parsons to get paid and get the contract he deserves after his dominant seasons in the pros.

"My brudda," Carter wrote, "can't wait to see you get paid what you EARNED!!@MicahhParsons11."

His callout came after Parsons praised Carter from his first NFL preseason game, where he impressed in his first NFL action. Parsons said, "They asked me if Abdul could be a another great ! I told them he could be the best one!"

It's high praise from Parsons for Carter, which was shortly followed up by Carter's response calling out the Cowboys and Jones to pay Parsons what he earned after four strong years in the NFL.

Parsons, through his first four years, has been incredible. He has 52.5 sacks and 256 tackles with four Pro Bowls, two All-Pros, and was the 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year.

It's hard to find a better beginning to their career than what Parsons has done since being drafted in the first round out of Penn State. Carter, who also landed with an NFC East team, will have the chance to make a similar impact, as he's one of the most highly touted prospects in recent years in the NFL.

But, amid the Parsons contract dispute, Carter, who could land a similar deal after his first four years in the NFL, is coming to Parsons's defense and calling on Jones and the Cowboys to pay Parsons what he's worth.

A deal for Parsons will likely eclipse $40 million per year and potentially be the highest non-quarterback deal in NFL history. It's not going to be cheap, but Parsons has earned such a deal.
