Michigan made the most of their final regular season trip to Wrigley Field on Saturday. Dominic Zvada kicked a 31-yard field goal as time expired as No. 18 Michigan escaped with a 24-22 win over Northwestern.

The Wolverines (8-2, 6-1 Big Ten, No. 18 CFP) survived three late turnovers, including two interceptions by freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood, to stay firmly in the College Football Playoff chase with their fourth straight victory. Jordan Marshall rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns, leading Michigan's offensive efforts.

Zvada’s winner capped a 50-yard drive after Michigan squandered multiple chances to retake the lead.

Northwestern (5-5, 3-4) dropped its third in a row and fell to 0-7 all-time at Wrigley Field. Thankfully, there aren't any additional scheduled games for the Wildcats at the home of the Chicago Cubs.

The Wolverines were up 21-9 before the Wildcats rallied behind Preston Stone’s 1-yard plunge and a 6-yard scoring run by Caleb Komolafe following a Braden Turner interception.

Marshall delivered another standout performance with Justice Haynes sidelined by a foot injury. Underwood threw for 280 yards and ran for a touchdown, while freshman Andrew Marsh caught 12 passes for 189 yards.

Michigan now turns its attention toward a crucial matchup in "The Game" with No. 1 Ohio State on Nov. 29. Northwestern will chase bowl eligibility against Minnesota and Illinois.
