The Michigan Wolverines won in dominating fashion on Saturday against Central Michigan, 63-3, led by freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood.

The Wolverines bounced back after picking up their first loss of the season last week against Oklahoma.

Underwood broke out on Saturday with his best overall game of the season. The freshman quarterback threw for 235 yards and added 114 yards on the ground with three total touchdowns. After the game, his coach compared him to a DC superhero.

Underwood Compared to DC Superhero

With head coach Sheron Moore serving the first of a three game suspension, Michigan's interim head coach on Saturday was associate head coach Bliff Poggi.

After Underwood's exciting, breakout performance, the Wolverines' interim head coach compared the freshman quarterback to DC's Batman.

He might actually be Batman," Poggi said. "We have to do a DNA test on him because he might be Batman."

Underwood had a solid performance in his Michigan debut against New Mexico, passing for 251 yards and a touchdown. However, the freshman struggled last week against Oklahoma. Underwood threw for less than 150 yards and was sacked once, without finding the end zone.

However, Michigan's 18-year-old quarterback bounced back on Saturday with 235 yards through the air and a touchdown. But what caught everyone's eye was what Underwood did on the ground.

The freshman's dual threat ability was unleashed on Saturday for 114 yards and two touchdowns on just nine carries. Michigan led 35-3 at halftime, and Underwood already had nearly 300 total yards.

The Wolverines found what they've been looking for in their young quarterback on Saturday, and did so just in time for conference play.

Michigan will open Big Ten play next week on the road against Nebraska.
