Louisville coach Jeff Brohm chose not to address reports linking him to the open head coaching position at Michigan following the Cardinals’ bowl win Tuesday night.

After Louisville Cardinals defeated Toledo 27-22 in the Busch’s Boca Raton Bowl, Brohm was asked about speculation surrounding his candidacy for the Michigan job.

"I don’t speak on other jobs,” Brohm said, according to WLKY's Kent Taylor. “I’m happy with this one and happy with the victory.”

Multiple reports have connected Brohm to the Michigan opening, which became available after Sherrone Moore was fired earlier this month.

However, there was the same level of speculation with Arizona State's Kenny Dillingham and Alabama's Kalen DeBoer. Both have distanced themselves from the rumors at this point. Dillingham signed a new contract at ASU. While DeBoer and the Tide advanced in the College Football Playoff.

Brohm has completed his third season at Louisville, his alma mater, where he played quarterback from 1989-93. The Cardinals reached the ACC championship game during his first season in 2023 and are 28-12 overall under his leadership, including a 9-4 mark this year.

Before returning to Louisville, Brohm served as head coach at Western Kentucky and Purdue. He owns a 94-56 career record and is 7-2 in bowl games. According to USA Today, Brohm earned approximately $5.9 million this season, ranking 43rd nationally. His contract runs through 2030.

While Brohm previously told Louisville officials he was not pursuing other openings, that statement came before Michigan’s vacancy. For now, Brohm remains focused on celebrating another successful season with his program.
