Four-star Georgia Bulldogs linebacker commit Nick Abrams is exploring his recruiting options as the early signing period in December approaches.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound defender from McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland, traveled to Ann Arbor for the Michigan-Wisconsin game on Saturday, where he experienced the Big House atmosphere firsthand.
Abrams, who pledged to Georgia in July, is one of the top linebackers in the 2026 class and remains a key target for several national programs. Despite his visit to Michigan, Abrams maintains that Georgia continues to lead his recruitment, though the Wolverines are keeping up the pressure.
Michigan turns up the pursuit of Georgia’s prized linebacker commit
Rivals300 linebacker Nick Abrams, among the most sought-after prospects on McDonogh’s campus, drew heavy attention from Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore and his staff during his visit.
“The environment was great,” Abrams said. “The Big House was rocking for homecoming. It was as good as advertised. The defense was flying around making plays, offense was doing their thing.”
Abrams said his visit reaffirmed what he already knew about Michigan’s program.
“To be honest nothing new, Michigan did a great job answering my questions and making sure I felt like I was at home,” he said. “I got to talk to a bunch of people around the building and they made it known how much of a priority I am.”
The four-star prospect is ranked No. 237 nationally and sits as the No. 14 linebacker and the sixth-best recruit in Maryland, according to 247Sports.
Abrams previously considered Oregon and Alabama before committing to Georgia. He recently attended the Georgia-Alabama matchup and plans to return to Athens for the Bulldogs’ game against Ole Miss.
When asked about his current stance, Abrams made his position clear.
“To be honest I think Georgia is still firm in the driver seat,” he said.
While Michigan made a strong impression, the Bulldogs appear well-positioned to keep their talented linebacker on board as signing day nears.
