In a defensive slugfest that sent the College Football world in shock, Miami rolled on to a 10-3 win over Texas A&M. But Rueben Bain Jr. Made headlines for both his dominance on the field and his words afterward.
No. 10 Hurricanes held the No. 7 Aggies without a touchdown on Saturday in College Station, advancing to the College Football Playoff quarterfinals. It marked the first time since 2021 that a team failed to score a touchdown in a CFP game.
Following the win, Bain delivered an expletive-laced rant directed at Texas A&M’s offensive line and head coach Mike Elko, singling out All-SEC tackle Trey Zuhn III. The comments came after Zuhn had publicly downplayed Bain’s potential impact before the game.
“Y’all whole O-Line some b------,” Bain said. “F--- you Mike Elko. F**k 60 (Zuhn). F--- everybody. F--- Texas A&M.”

Bain responded emphatically on the field. The First-Team All-ACC selection recorded five tackles, four tackles for loss, three sacks and a blocked field goal, anchoring a Miami defense that consistently overwhelmed the Aggies.
Miami’s performance sent the Hurricanes to the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, where they will face No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes. While Bain’s postgame comments drew attention, his play is a big reason why he is widely viewed as one of college football’s premier defensive players and a projected top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
