The Tigers new coach enjoys hot yoga but also spent the New Year with his ex-wife, Layla, who is his partner in life. No, Kiffin is not currently remarried. However, he has reportedly reconciled privately with his forever love.
The Kiffins were married in 2004 and divorced in 2016 after 12 years together. They share three children — daughters Landry and Presley, and son Knox. Despite the legal separation, Layla has remained a visible presence around Kiffin’s programs, frequently attending games with their children and extended family.
Layla has her own background in college athletics. She previously served as an assistant volleyball coach at the University of Tennessee, where she met Lane while he was an offensive assistant with the Volunteers. Presley Kiffin, the couple’s middle child, is a freshman outside hitter on the volleyball team at the University of Southern California, announcing her commitment in March 2024. Knox Kiffin, the youngest, is a Class of 2028 quarterback at Oxford High School. Knox threw three touchdowns in a one-point semifinal playoff loss to Tupelo High School.
In recent years, Kiffin has spoken publicly about sobriety and personal growth, noting he has been sober for more than four years. He has occasionally posted photos with Layla, including one featuring a ring during an anniversary celebration. Though the two remain legally divorced.
As Kiffin moves to LSU, the family considerations remain part of the equation. The next chapter unfolds in Baton Rouge, with the Kiffins continuing to be central figures in the coach’s life — married or not.
