Fernando Mendoza goes all out at Miami nightclub with teammates after national championship win image

Fernando Mendoza is a national champion. And after completing a perfect season, the celebration looked nothing like a trip to Disney World.

Indiana’s Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback was spotted late Monday night at E11EVEN, a high-profile nightclub in downtown Miami, celebrating with teammates following the Hoosiers’ national championship victory.

Seen by many as a buttoned up leader, Mendoza joined current and former Indiana Hoosiers players at the nightclub strip club hybrid just hours after Indiana closed its historic run with a 27-21 win over the Miami Hurricanes in the College Football Playoff title game.

Inside the packed venue, Queen’s “We Are the Champions” blared as confetti rained down and dancers paraded through the crowd holding champagne bottles lit with sparklers. A sign reading “National Flippin’ Champs” hovered above the celebration as players swayed and mouthed the lyrics.

Mendoza, who is widely projected as the potential No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, appeared relaxed and smiling as teammates chanted the chorus in unison. It was a fitting release after an undefeated season that rewrote the program’s history books.

Indiana’s win marked the first national championship in school history, capping a season defined by belief and moments of greatness from its star quarterback.

The party won’t end in South Florida. The Hoosiers are set to continue celebrating this weekend back in Bloomington, where a formal championship celebration awaits.
