Indiana cames into Saturday's matchup with Penn State having never taken down the Nittany Lions in Happy Valley. That was until Curt Cignetti led the second-ranked Hoosiers to a 27-24 win.

The dramatic ending was Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza's Heisman moment with a last-minute improbable touchdown pass to Omar Cooper Jr., saving the undefeated season.

At 10-0, Cignetti's team has send a message to the rest of the nation they're a legit contender, especially in a stacked Big Ten. With that said, a first-ever win at Beaver Stadium is a big accomplishment for a program that has traditionally been middle of the pack. But Cignetti's message was clear what he's building in Bloomington.

When asked about breaking the winless streak against Penn State by FOX Sports' Jenny Taff, Cignetti didn't skip a beat. "This team has never played here," he said.

One of the truest statements as Indiana is on a path to face top-ranked Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game. If that matchup happens, it would be a "winner-takes-all" scenario for the top seed in the College Football Playoff.

Both teams have to get there. For Indiana, that means getting past Wisconsin and Purdue. As for Ohio State, the road with UCLA, Rutgers and "The Game" at Michigan awaits.
