Curt Cignetti didn't just lead Indiana into the College Football Playoff.

He propelled James Madison in this direction, too.

Cignetti was JMU's coach as they made the move from FCS to FBS. He proved to the entire program that they could win at the top level of Division I football.

Bob Chesney has taken what Cignetti did and run with it all the way into the CFP.

And Cignetti, with some of his JMU players and a lot of other transfers from elsewhere, has gotten the Hoosiers to the dance for the second year in a row, and this season as the undefeated, Big Ten champion and No. 1 overall seed.

Cignetti is right: "I win. Google me."

He has won at every spot, and his winning has bred more winning, even after he's left.

Can James Madison win a CFP game at Oregon? Probably not.

Can Indiana win the national title? Probably.

But regardless of what happens, what an homage to the level of coach Cignetti is.

He has done it at every stop.

He'll surely be rooting for James Madison to pull the upset while the Hoosiers relax on their bye.

It's Curt Cignetti's world. We're just living in it.
