Georgia added another big name to its future quarterback room Sunday. Kirby Smart's staff got the commitment of five-star passer Jayden Wade, the nation’s top-ranked quarterback in the 2028 class.
Wade, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound standout at IMG Academy, announced his decision on Rivals.com’s YouTube channel.
The Los Angeles native, who transferred to the Bradenton, Florida, powerhouse as an eighth grader, is rated the No. 4 overall prospect in his class by 247Sports. He becomes Georgia’s first pledge of the 2028 cycle.

The super competitive passer has been building towards this moment for years. Since Wade was young, he always played above his age level. A strong-armed athletic quarterback with a 4.4-second forty-yard dash time.
Wade chose Georgia over Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, Oregon and Washington. Georgia initially offered him on Christmas Day in 2023 through assistant coach Donte Williams.
The Bulldogs already hold a commitment from five-star quarterback Jared Curtis, the No. 4 passer in the 2025 class.
Wade’s early pledge give the program another long-term win and continues to stack elite talent under Smart.
