Florida has its new head coach. Jon Sumrall has arrived from Tulane to lead the Gators.
Now the Gators need a quarterback. Welcome to the transfer portal.
DJ Lagway is departing from Florida after two seasons as the starter, so the Gators need a new guy.
There are plenty of options available in the portal, but there's one hint as to where Florida might go.
The Athletic's Manny Navarro thinks Aaron Philo from Georgia Tech will start at QB for the Gators in 2026.
"Former Tulane coach Jon Sumrall hired Buster Faulkner away from Georgia Tech to be Florida’s new offensive coordinator, and it seems inevitable Philo will follow him to Gainesville," Navarro writes.

Philo has been the backup at Georgia Tech behind superstar Haynes King.
In two seasons of college football so far, Philo has appeared in eight games. He has completed 57.8% of his passes for 938 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.
Philo has also run 16 times for 95 yards (5.9 ypc) and a touchdown.
It'd be a big gamble for Florida to count on Philo as its starting QB next season, but with so many possible destinations, maybe that familiarity with the offensive coordinator will be enough to make this partnership happen.
