Karrueche Tran may have confirmed what fans have been speculating for weeks.
During an appearance on the What’s Next with J. Ryan podcast, the actress was asked point-blank if she was dating. She didn’t hesitate. “Yeah, I’m dating,” she said with a smile. When pressed further about whether she was enjoying the relationship, Tran doubled down: “If I wasn’t having fun, I wouldn’t be in it. I’m at a point in my life like I know what I want. I’ve dated a lot, I’ve done a lot…if I wasn’t happy and content and feeling good in my situation, I’m not wasting my time. I’d rather be at home, namaste child, in bed at 9:00 doing my own thing if I’m not happy.”
Tran never mentioned Deion Sanders by name. But as the New York Post noted, her remarks arrive just weeks after emotional footage surfaced of the actress supporting the Colorado head coach during a hospital visit. Sanders underwent surgery in July for bladder cancer, and TMZ circulated a clip on Instagram showing Tran by his side, holding his hand and speaking emotionally about the procedure before he was wheeled into the operating room.
That public moment, combined with her candid new comments, has only fueled speculation about their relationship. Tran even compared dating men in different worlds such as celebrities, athletes, and so-called “regular dudes” with 9 to 5 jobs before concluding the patterns were often the same. “I don’t like it…men are still going to be men,” she said.

Sanders has not directly addressed the rumors. But the timing of Tran’s remarks adds another layer of intrigue as Colorado and Coach Prime open their season tonight at Folsom Field against Georgia Tech. Whether Karrueche will be in the stands remains unconfirmed, but the buzz around her personal life and Sanders’ 2025 sideline debut has only intensified the spotlight on Boulder.
