Antonio Williams injury update: Clemson receiver leaves game vs. LSU with apparent lower body issue image

Clemson receiver Antonio Williams entered the season as a top receiving option on offense, but the wide receiver was noticeably absent midway through the first half.

Williams had to leave Clemson's season-opening game against LSU as the team struggled to gain momentum on offense. The 21-year-old, who is currently in his fourth season with the Tigers, led the team in receiving yards last season.

Here's the latest on Williams' injury on Saturday night.

The TV broadcast is reporting that Williams had to leave the field and go to the locker room with a hamstring injury.

After halftime, ESPN's Holly Rowe reported that Williams tried to warm up for the second half but was ruled doubtful for the rest of the game.

It's unclear exactly when Williams suffered the injury, but it is a big blow to Clemson's offense. Williams' 904 receiving yards in 2024 were the best on the team by almost 200 yards, and his 11 receiving touchdowns led the ACC.
