Alabama running back Jam Miller was injured Saturday night in the fourth quarter of the Iron Bowl against rival Auburn and did not return.
The ABC broadcast reported Miller left the field favoring his right leg. He was on the sideline using crutches before heading back to the locker room. Play-by-play announcer Chris Fowler confirmed his exit as Alabama shifted to backup Daniel Hill.
A major blow for the Tide in the rivalry game. Miller led Alabama’s ground attack at the time of the injury, posting 15 carries for 83 yards without a score.
Alabama took a 27-20 lead on a fourth down conversion for a touchdown from Ty Simpson. The Tide’s backfield was thinned out during a critical stretch, forcing increased reliance on Simpson in a game defined by playoff implications.
Miller’s status moving forward was not immediately announced.
