The UConn Huskies continue to build for the future. Even after a strong recent period, by securing key additions in the 2026 class, there's room for improvement at No. 22, according to ESPN.
UConn’s early commits include combo-guard Junior County (No. 43) and rising wing Colben Landrew (No. 63), according to ESPN’s national rankings.
County brings all-around guard skills and defensive intensity. While Landrew offers size and starts to develop his offensive game. While their class currently sits toward the bottom end of the top 25 in the rankings, the Huskies’ coaching staff will be aiming for more additions before the cycle closes.
With the foundation in place, UConn appears ready to fight for a better spot. The program’s ability to develop talent and compete at the highest levels means even recruits outside the top 10 nationally can make an impact. This starts and ends with Dan Hurley's vision. The Huskies’ message is clear that the 2026 class is not just about rankings at this point. If they can build depth, it will lead to sustained success.
