It's a battle of blue bloods on Monday night.
After ending Coach K's hopes and dreams of a walk-off championship win, Tar Heels head coach Hubert Davis is looking to make some history of his own on April 4: With a win, Davis will become the first rookie head coach in NCAA Tournament history to take home championship honors.
Obviously, that's easier said than done, especially when you consider who Davis will be facing off against; Bill Self is no stranger to tournament wins, reaching four Final Fours and winning the NCAA Tournament in 2008 as the head coach of the Jayhawks.
This will be the first time that both teams are meeting in the NCAA Tournament since 2013, when Kansas Ousted North Carolina in the second round of the tourney. However, it's a championship rematch over 65 years in the making: The two college hoops stalwarts met in the 1957 national championship game, with the Heels taking a 54-53 win over the Jayhawks.

It's a pretty evenly matched final. While UNC entered the tournament as a No. 8 seed, they hadn't played like it the months leading up to the tournament, finishing the 2021-22 season on a 9-3 run since Feb. 1.
Kansas, a No. 2 seed, has had a bit of an easier path to walk in the tournament, eventually knocking off 2020 national champions Villanova in the Final Four.
