The Syracuse Orange basketball recruiting class for 2026 is looking a little light.
Light, as in this case, meaning empty.
That's right: SU has zero players committed from the class that graduates in a handful of months.

It could just be a total admission that Syracuse simply plans to mine the transfer portal for all of its future talent.
But more likely, it's also a signal of what the world of basketball recruits thinks about SU head coach Adrian Autry.
Namely, this is likely his last season on the sideline.
The Orange were in NCAA Tournament contention, right on the bubble, before their recent three-game skid against three beatable ACC foes.
Now, it looks like another year with no March Madness for Syracuse, barring a crazy turnaround.
It doesn't appear to be for lack of talent. Donnie Freeman is living up to his billing as a five-star recruit in the 2024 class. Sadiq White and Kiyan Anthony were both top-40 freshmen.
J.J. Starling is a top-level college basketball guard. William Kyle is a great interior presence. Naithan George and Nate Kingz have great backcourt abilities.
Somehow, it hasn't come together consistently on the court, though. And apparently, the players coming next aren't that interested in joining this operation.
Syracuse has some work to do. The program isn't what it once was.
