The No. 6 Michigan Wolverines (2-0) make their first true road trip of the season as the TCU Horned Frogs (2-1) come calling in a Big Ten/Big 12 clash at Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth, TX., tonight at 9 pm on ESPN2.
Elliot Cadeau has stirred the drink for Wolverines with 10.5 assists per game, which leads the country. Cadeau put together an all-around effort with 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in an 85-84 win in overtime over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Nov. 12.
Despite the losses of Danny Wolf and Vladimir Goldin in the off-season, the Wolverines have reloaded in the frontcourt with 7-foot-3 center Aday Mara. Mara has produced back-to-back double-doubles to start the season (12 points and 12 rebounds vs Oakland and 18 and 13 against Wake Forest).
The Wolverines will look to cut down on turnovers as they committed 17 against the Demon Deacons.
Michigan’s three-point shooting went ice cold against Wake Forest as they went 4-for-25 (16 percent). The Wolverines will look to improve upon those numbers against a Horned Frogs unit that has looked shaky at best to start their campaign as they have allowed teams to shoot 37.9 percent from long range and an average of 7.3 three-pointers allowed.
TCU began the 2025-26 season with a 78-74 loss to New Orleans from the Southland Conference – on their home floor, but bounced back to defeat St. Francis (PA) and Lamar.
The Horned Frogs have relied primarily on underclassmen for their scoring as true sophomores Micah Robinson and David Punch lead the way.
Punch leads TCU with 14.0 points per game, while Robinson follows with 12.7 ppg as both players have shot 50 percent each from long range. The one-two duo leads the Horned Frogs in rebounds as Punch has grabbed 6.7 per game – followed by Robinson’s 6.3.
